The France national team topped the ranking of the most expensive national teams that will compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The total transfer value of French footballers is estimated at 1.47 billion euros.
According to The Touchline, the England national team ranks second in the rating with a total squad value of 1.32 billion euros. Closing the top three is the current European champion — the Spain national team. Its players are valued at 1.27 billion euros.
The top five most expensive teams for the upcoming World Cup also includes Germany — 1.01 billion euros — and Portugal — 965 million euros.
The 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament will be the first in history to feature 48 national teams. The reigning world champion remains Argentina, which won the championship in Qatar in 2022.
