Negotiations on New Projects
Schwarzenegger spoke about a possible return to iconic characters during a conversation at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus.
According to the actor, film studios are once again showing interest in the movies that brought him worldwide fame in the 1980s.
Possible Return to the "Predator" Franchise
Schwarzenegger mentioned that director Dan Trachtenberg, who worked on the film "Prey" (2022), is interested in his participation in one of the future projects of the franchise.
The actor noted that the new films in the series are successfully expanding the universe, and the studio is considering the possibility of bringing back the original character.
Sequel to "Commando"
According to Schwarzenegger, the studio is also discussing the creation of a film titled "Commando 2." A script for the project has already been prepared, and negotiations regarding his participation are currently underway.
New Conan Film
Another possible project is the film "King Conan," which is expected to continue the story of the character from the film "Conan the Barbarian" (1982) and its 1984 sequel.
According to media reports, director and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, known for his work on the latest films in the "Mission: Impossible" series, may be involved in the development of the project.
