Lawyer Margarita Gavrilova, representing the family of the late basketball player Janis Timma, disclosed details of the beginning of his romance with Anna Sedokova, reports Starhit. According to her, everything started at the opening of the singer's bar on Savvinskaya Embankment in Moscow, where Janis was allegedly gifted a sweatshirt.
Sedokova was 'working on' Timma: the lawyer revealed the scheme of their acquaintance.
Gavrilova posted a note on social media: first, Timma wrote his online nickname on a piece of paper, and Sedokova immediately instructed her team to contact him on her behalf and send a gift via courier. The basketball player received a sweater, posted a story in it under the song 'Shantaram' tagging Anna, and responded with gratitude.
'From this moment, the operation to deplete and destroy Janis began,' the lawyer is convinced, emphasizing the singer's calculative nature. She believes that Timma married against his will, while Sedokova ruined his career and left him without means.
The family is demanding 60 million rubles (about 660,000 euros) from the widow — half of the sale of their joint apartment. Relatives blame Anna for the tragedy: after the breakup in 2024, the 32-year-old athlete took his own life in a Moscow hotel (the investigation confirmed suicide). Timma's father had previously admitted: 'I will never cope' with the grief, demanding punishment for Anna. The first hearing is on March 2.
