Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, brother of King Charles III and former prince stripped of titles due to ties with Epstein, has been arrested in the UK. This is reported by the BBC.

According to a police statement, a "man in his 60s" has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Law enforcement is conducting searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

Police noted that the arrest occurred after a "thorough assessment," and an investigation is now open. The BBC links the arrest to an investigation concerning the "Epstein files."

Recently, UK police began reviewing a complaint alleging that the former prince provided Epstein with confidential materials. Documents released in the Epstein case indicated that Andrew had passed scandalous financier reports about his trips to Singapore, Hong Kong, and Vietnam, as well as confidential details about investment opportunities.

Prince Andrew's name emerged in the Jeffrey Epstein sex crime scandal in early 2015. Victim Virginia Giuffre claimed that the mogul "loaned" her to his wealthy and powerful friends as a minor sex slave and repeatedly forced her to have sex with Prince Andrew.

Recently, a second woman stated that the financier sent her to the UK for sex with Andrew. According to the victim, after a night with the prince, she was given a tour of Buckingham Palace and tea.

In 2019, Andrew ceased performing royal duties, and in 2022, he was stripped of his military titles due to the scandal. The prince denied the allegations and in 2022 was able to settle Giuffre's civil lawsuit by paying her an undisclosed sum and making a significant donation to charity. In October 2025, Charles III stripped Andrew of all titles and evicted him from the royal residence.
