Even before reaching one year of age, she weighed 16 kilograms.
In a small American town of North Stonington lives a dog named Minnie. She has entered the Guinness World Records as the largest female dog in the world. This is reported by the official website of the reference book.
Minnie belongs to the Great Dane breed. Her height from the floor to the withers reaches 97.5 centimeters. The dog's owners, Ken and Lisa, got her when she was just a tiny puppy. According to them, Minnie's height began to increase rapidly: even before reaching one year of age, she weighed 16 kilograms. To allow the judges of the Guinness World Records to measure the dog's parameters, the owners had to resort to a trick: they attracted Minnie's attention with her favorite treat, peanut butter. People admire Minnie's size, color, and beauty, and many want to pet her.
She turned out to be an inch taller than the previous record holder, a dog named Lizzy from Florida, whose height was 96.41 centimeters. At the same time, Minnie is only slightly shorter than the tallest female dog, a Canadian Great Dane named Morgan, who recently passed away. His height reached 98.15 centimeters.
