Journalist Sibrel criticized Americans for believing in the landing of humans on the Moon.

The belief of Americans in the success of the lunar mission of the 1960s is comparable to the faith in Santa Claus. This was stated by American journalist Bart Sibrel, who has spent the last several decades trying to prove that humans did not land on the Moon.

In his opinion, the citizens of the United States have been brainwashed since birth, and they will not doubt the success of the Apollo mission even if they are told otherwise on television.

Sibrel attributes the authorship of the forgery to the CIA, considering its goal to be the desire of the U.S. to save face and distract the public from the Vietnam War. He is convinced that the spacecraft's equipment never left Earth's orbit, and that materials from the Moon's surface were delivered by unmanned missions.

One of the arguments presented by the skeptic was the impossibility of a vertical landing on the Moon and taking off from it in those years. At the same time, the exact same technology, namely landing and takeoff, was used to deliver soil samples from the lunar rovers, and the journalist does not deny the success of these operations.

In the early 2000s, Sibrel attacked 72-year-old American astronaut Buzz Aldrin, one of the participants in the lunar mission, during a television interview, demanding that he swear on the Bible that he had been to the Moon.

His current comment is related to the lunar mission Artemis II, during which a crewed spacecraft will leave low Earth orbit for the first time in over half a century and fly past the Moon. The launch vehicle took off on April 1 (April 2 Moscow time) from Launch Complex 39A at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The reality of the American landing on the Moon in the 1960s provokes numerous debates around the world. In particular, about half of Russians do not believe in the success of the Apollo program. The conspiracy theory about the forgery was initiated by American writer Bill Kaysing in the 1970s. Neither Soviet nor Russian officials have ever expressed doubts that the U.S. lunar program was successful.
