The Most Vulnerable iPhones Named

TechCrunch named old iPhones the most vulnerable to hacker attacks.

The oldest devices that have not received recent security patches have been identified as the most vulnerable to attacks from fraudsters and hackers. This is reported by TechCrunch.

The article states that in just the last month, security experts from Google, iVerify, and Lookout have recorded several major hacking attacks. According to experts, they "are almost indiscriminately targeting victims around the world." The main potential victims are users of old or unupdated Apple smartphones that are not running the latest version of the software (OS).

In a conversation with TechCrunch, iVerify co-founder Matthias Frilingsdorf stated that attacks targeting users of the most current versions of iOS will never be widespread. This is because the current operating systems are maximally protected, and it would take a lot of effort to hack them. In contrast, it is much easier to hack devices running old software versions.

Security expert Patrick Wardle stated that he cannot "bring himself to call most attacks high-tech." Typically, they target unprotected operating systems that can be easily hacked with certain skills and equipment. In this regard, the specialists interviewed by TechCrunch urged users to update their smartphones in a timely manner.
