Windows Latest: many applications in Windows 11 have been disconnected from the internet.
Microsoft has acknowledged a problem that has caused many applications in Windows 11 to be cut off from the internet. This was reported by Windows Latest.
Recently, the American company released an emergency update KB5085516. As explained by Microsoft, it addresses "serious issues affecting internet connectivity in some applications." However, as journalists noted, the update does not install automatically — it must be requested manually through the "Windows Update Center."
Apparently, the operating system (OS) update is supposed to fix the issue related to the internet connection failure. Previously, many users complained that some applications stopped receiving information over the network. In Microsoft programs — PowerPoint, Word, Windows Store, and others — an error appeared informing about the internet connection problem. Meanwhile, other programs were functioning.
"Please note that this issue occurs when the device enters a certain state of network connectivity and may resolve itself," Microsoft attempted to reassure users. However, to quickly address the issue, the company advised not to wait and to install the KB5085516 update manually.
