Giant magnetic loops can be seen rising from the edge of the Sun with the naked eye in images from space.

The cosmic "winter" that plunged the Sun into an abnormal hibernation is officially over. After three days of absolute emptiness, during which not a single spot remained on the disk of the star, the main troublemaker of the 21st century — active region 4366 — is returning to Earth.

The last days of February 2026 looked frighteningly quiet. From February 22 to 24, scientists recorded the deepest drop in activity since 2021: there were no spots on the Sun. But the silence turned out to be deceptive. While the visible side of the star "slept," new life was boiling behind its eastern edge.

The first to make a sound was a young region in the south, which has not yet been assigned a number. The spots are still hidden beyond the horizon, but instruments are already detecting a series of M-class flares. However, scientists' main interest is focused on the northern hemisphere of the star. There, according to calculations, the legendary group 4366 is rising.

To understand the scale of the threat, it is worth recalling the beginning of February 2026. Region 4366 caused real terror:

  • Six X-class flares (the highest level);

  • About 70 M-class flares;

  • A record for the 21st century in terms of density and number of strong events in one center.

When the region moved to the far side of the Sun in the middle of the month, it appeared to be destroyed. Astronomers had serious doubts: would this "monster" survive the transit across the invisible side? There are currently no spacecraft capable of peering behind the Sun, so scientists awaited the return of group 4366 with anxiety.

In images from space, giant magnetic loops can be seen rising from the edge of the Sun with the naked eye. Background X-ray radiation began to rise rapidly.

From the perspective of the metaphysics of Golovina and the dark arcana of Crowley, this return resembles the emergence of a "revenant" — a being that was supposed to perish but returned with new strength. Although scientists assess the likelihood of a repeat of the February apocalypse as low, the very fact of the resilience of group 4366 forces a reconsideration of solar activity models.

Winter on the Sun has given way to a thaw. The only question is whether 4366 has retained its deadly potential or will return to us as a fading shadow. While flares are occurring at the very edge of the disk, there is no threat to Earth's electronics and communications — the impacts are going into open space. However, the Sun is rotating, and in a few days, group 4366 will be on the line "Sun — Earth." If the region has retained energy, the beginning of March 2026 may be marked by new magnetic storms and disruptions in GPS navigation.
