Analyst and well-known insider Mark Gurman stated that Apple is expected to announce an update for the MacBook Pro in the coming weeks. The devices will run on M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. Additionally, by the end of 2026, the IT giant will introduce another MacBook Pro with an OLED screen — Gurman identified the new type of display as the main feature of the device.
Apple has never updated its computers this frequently. Mark Gurman noted that in 2026, the American corporation will do this twice: at the beginning and the end of the year.
Most likely, the MacBook Pro scheduled for the end of the year will have an OLED screen, M6 Pro and M6 Max processors, a thinner body, and built-in cellular support. The company may also introduce a MacBook Air with an M5 processor and a professional Mac Studio computer, which will be released with M5 Max and M5 Ultra chips. The prices of the new devices have not been disclosed.
