An 800-Kilogram Hexacopter Tested in China 0 149

The Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) conducted tests of the 800-kilogram AR-E800 hexacopter. The flight took place at the Jindezhen Airport in Jiangxi Province, reports the Telegram channel China Army.

The hexacopter, with six pairs of rotors, successfully performed takeoff, hovering, maneuvers, and landing at a designated point within four minutes.

The heavy drone can carry up to 300 kilograms of cargo in its internal compartment or on external suspension. The AR-E800 can be used for delivering equipment and armaments to hard-to-reach mountainous areas.

The AR-E800 was first presented in September 2025 at the International Helicopter Exhibition in Tianjin. AVIC has already received orders for the supply of the drone.
