Apple released iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1, updates that fixed 50 vulnerabilities.

The American corporation Apple has released an urgent update for smartphones and tablets. This was noted by the specialized publication 9to5Mac.

In early November, the company introduced iOS 26.1 and iPadOS 26.1 for iPhone and iPad, respectively. Apple noted that the update is technical and fixes a number of serious vulnerabilities in the operating systems (OS) and urged users to install it.

As journalists pointed out, within the framework of the update, specialists from the IT giant fixed about 50 vulnerabilities. The authors called the update the largest and most important since the release of iOS 26 in September.

Among other things, the update brings a fix for the vulnerability CVE-2025-43450, which under certain conditions allows access to the camera. The system flaw with the identifier CVE-2025-43426 allows the disclosure of confidential data of saved contacts, CVE-2025-43350 enables viewing control center items on the lock screen, CVE-2025-43507 allows intercepting users' fingerprints, and CVE-2025-43391 provides access to photos saved on the device.

It was previously reported that iOS 26 will bring back the smartphone control feature that was first added to the very first iPhone. As explained by journalists from MacRumors, the Slide to unlock slider will appear in the built-in alarm clock.
