Windows has fixed a bug that prevented the OS from shutting down the PC after an update.

Microsoft has fixed bugs causing problems when updating Windows. This was reported by Neowin.

The relevant updates were found in update KB5067036, which brought a new Start menu, improved artificial intelligence, and other features, as well as resolving a number of issues. It also fixed error 0x800f0983, which occurred during the installation of updates. Media specialists referred to it as annoying.

Due to a bug in the operating system (OS), updates were installed incorrectly. For instance, if a user clicked the 'Update and Shut Down' button, Windows would install the update but restart the system instead of shutting down the personal computer (PC).

Additionally, Microsoft engineers reported that they fixed a malfunction that caused the Media Creation Tool application to not work on Arm64 devices. Neowin journalists noted that update KB5067036 is available to all users.
