Молодые геймеры и не подозревают, что за ними наблюдают.

Surveillance came disguised as real-time gaming activity analysis and personalized recommendation generation.

Users on the ResetEra forum have discovered hidden activity from the built-in gaming AI assistant Gaming Copilot in Windows 11. It turns out that the service can automatically collect and transmit screenshots during gameplay to Microsoft servers for training artificial intelligence models.

One forum participant noted that the system generates network traffic with fragments of the screen image. The source was the "Train Model with Text" option in the Game Bar settings. This option is automatically activated upon system installation, effectively leading to the tracking of visual content without the user's explicit consent.

Thus, Windows 11 owners, while interacting with any video game, may inadvertently participate in improving Microsoft's algorithms, as Gaming Copilot is capable of generating and sending screenshots of the gameplay.

The function can be manually disabled. To do this, you need to open the game panel with the "Win+G" key combination, go to the Gaming Copilot section, open "Settings," and select "Privacy Settings," after which you can deactivate the corresponding toggle.

Microsoft announced Gaming Copilot in March 2025 as an AI tool for supporting gaming sessions on Xbox. In September, the service began rolling out on PCs running Windows 11. The service is designed to analyze gaming activity in real-time and generate personalized recommendations. The system uses Xbox Live account data, achievement history, and visual materials to enhance the accuracy of in-game advice.

It was previously reported that the long-outdated Windows 7 has suddenly become popular again.
