CD Projekt RED will release another game in the Witcher universe.
CD Projekt RED will develop at least one more game set in the Witcher universe. This was reported by the portal ScreenRant.
The last game in the series was The Witcher 3, released in 2015. In the coming years, the Polish studio will also present The Witcher 4, which is already in development. Media journalists stated that CD Projekt RED intends to start production on another game in the well-known universe, as they plan to hire new developers.
ScreenRant authors discovered job openings for game designers at CD Projekt RED. In particular, the company is looking for a lead writer who will work on "engaging stories, compelling dialogues, and innovative quests." The job listing specifies that the writer will be expected to create "a completely new adventure in the game universe." Journalists believe that this indirectly reveals that the studio is working on another game in the series.
The Witcher games are based on the eponymous books by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski. Journalists suggested that game designers have an inexhaustible resource in the form of the book's foundation and can endlessly launch Witcher games with new characters and stories — not counting remakes and re-releases.
In June, CD Projekt RED presented the second trailer for the upcoming game The Witcher 4. The main character of the title will be the witcher Ciri, and the release date of the game has not been disclosed.
