The National Armed Forces plan to continue purchasing "clean" and energy-efficient vehicles, gradually reducing the number of diesel-powered cars and transitioning to electric vehicles.
The National Armed Forces participated in the open competition "Enhancing Energy Efficiency in the Transport Sector — Supporting the Implementation of Electric Vehicles and Their Charging Infrastructure" with the aim of fulfilling commitments to strengthen climate neutrality. Before participating in the competition, military bases were identified where infrastructure for electric charging needs to be built, capable of providing the required power for charging electric transport.
The National Armed Forces provide the entire fleet of vehicles for the Ministry of Defense system. As part of the project, 12 vehicles were purchased, which will be used for everyday administrative activities.
In the future, the National Armed Forces plan to continue purchasing "clean" and energy-efficient vehicles, gradually reducing the number of diesel-powered cars. At the same time, the potential for servicing and repairing vehicles with electric engines will be developed.
