Bloomberg: the first Apple laptop with a touchscreen OLED display will be released by 2027.
Apple Corporation will unveil a laptop with a touchscreen display no later than 2027. This was reported by Bloomberg.
According to insider Mark Gurman, an updated version of the MacBook Pro will appear in late 2026 or early 2027. The new laptops — two models with different screen sizes will be included in the series — will feature the M6 processor. The main feature of the devices will be a touchscreen OLED display — a first for Apple’s line of computers.
Additionally, the engineers at the tech giant will change the design of the screen. It will feature a cutout similar to the Dynamic Island on the iPhone. Current MacBooks have a "notch." This area will house indicators and other data that will come from the smartphone.
Despite having a touchscreen display, the new MacBook Pro will have a physical keyboard and trackpad. Thus, touch control will be auxiliary rather than primary.
