Co-founder of Rockstar Games Dan Houser named the best game he has worked on. He stated this in an interview with IGN.
He was asked about the best games by the game designer at the LA Comic Con. Houser is a co-founder of Rockstar Games, which has released games including the Grand Theft Auto series. However, the businessman did not place GTA in the top spot. "Red Dead Redemption 2, I think, was the best game I worked on," Dan Houser replied.
RDR 2 was released in 2018. Houser described the title as "the best embodiment of thematic storytelling in an open world and understanding how games are structured to take you on an emotional journey." He also highlighted GTA IV. Additionally, GTA V made the list, but the game designer stated that he does not consider it flawless — while noting that the middle of the narrative turned out particularly well.
Dan Houser left Rockstar Games in 2020. After that, he founded Absurd Ventures, which will release American Caper on November 12, 2025. It is set to be in the crime fantasy genre.
