According to the Central Statistical Bureau, at the beginning of this year, there were 9,234 light electric vehicles registered in Latvia, which is 45% more than at the beginning of 2024.
At the same time, compared to the beginning of 2023, the number of passenger electric vehicles at the beginning of this year increased by 2.4 times.
The majority — 4,333 — of these cars were registered in Riga at the beginning of 2024. Another 940 such cars were registered in Marupe, and 658 in Jurmala.
