Apple has published an advertisement mocking personal computers (PCs) and Windows. The video is available on YouTube.

The plot of the eight-minute video features a fictional team of developers called The Underdogs overcoming various challenges using Apple Mac computers. The video is titled Blue screen of death (BSoD) — the name of the most well-known critical error in Windows. Through the advertisement, Apple assures viewers that the Mac ecosystem offers the best protection.

Journalists from the specialized publication MacRumors noted that Apple referenced the global Windows outage that occurred on July 19, 2024. At that time, issues arose worldwide due to problems with the software (SW) of CrowdStrike — a partner of Microsoft. "Thanks to the high level of security of Apple products, the Underdogs were unharmed and achieved incredible success," the video states.

The advertisement also includes a link to a section on Apple's website dedicated to security. It mentions that the deepest components of the macOS operating system — unlike Windows — are protected from changes by third-party software or malware. "This is a PC problem, and your Macs are safe," the video notes.
