Owners of the iPhone 17 Pro have complained about shadows when taking photos with the flash.

Users of the iPhone 17 Pro smartphone have started to complain about shadows appearing in photos during photography. This was noted by the publication Notebookcheck.

The issue was first reported by a blogger under the nickname marcustechnology. He discovered that when photographing objects with the flash, shadows can appear at their edges. However, when shooting with other iPhone models, such shadows do not occur. As an example, the enthusiast took identical photos with the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone 13, noting that in the latter case, the flash did not create any shadows.

Media journalists suggested that the flaw mentioned by marcustechnology may be caused by the new placement of the flash. In earlier models, it was located next to the camera, but in the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max, it has been moved to the opposite end of the back panel. It is possible that the shadows appear due to technical miscalculations during the development of the gadgets.

The blogger stated that due to the shadows, photos taken on the flagship iPhone look unkempt. According to him, "it creates the feeling that someone is holding a flashlight in the corner, and honestly, it's very annoying." Apple has not yet responded to the issue.
