Sony is set to bury PlayStation 4 0 32

Sony is planning to discontinue support for the PlayStation 4 console. This was reported by Insider Gaming.

Editor-in-chief Tom Henderson has obtained internal documents indicating that Sony intends to phase out the PS4. As early as spring, the IT giant will shut down several services for the console. For instance, users and profiles will no longer be displayed in PlayStation Network, along with the activity feed API and other features.

According to Henderson, disconnecting the device from some internet services means that the corporation plans to gradually cease support for the console. The PlayStation 4 was released in 2013 but is still popular among users. The insider noted that gamers are anticipating the release of the PS6, which is expected to happen in a few years.

The article states that even after the support for PlayStation 4 ends, it will still be usable. Games will still run on the console, including those available on physical media.
