The national team of Wales hosted the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Cardiff at the Cardiff City Stadium and lost 1:1 (penalties — 2:4). Daniel James scored for Wales in the 51st minute. Edin Džeko scored for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 86th minute. Extra time ended without goals. Bosnia and Herzegovina won in the penalty shootout.
The national team of the Czech Republic faced the national team of Ireland in Prague at the Fortuna Arena and won — 2:2 (penalties — 4:3). Notably, in the middle of the first half, the score was 0:2... During regular time, Patrik Schick scored for the Czech Republic (27th minute) and Ladislav Krejčí (86th). Troy Parrott scored for Ireland (19th), and an own goal was credited to Czech goalkeeper Matěj Kovář (23rd).
