The USA team secured a confident victory over Slovakia in the second semifinal match of the men's hockey tournament.
USA goalkeeper Connor Hellebuyck saved 22 of 24 shots. The Slovaks replaced their goalie after the fourth American goal: Stanislav Skorvanek came on for Samuel Glova, who saved 19 of 23 shots (14 of 16).
The Americans advanced to the final, where they will play against Canada on February 22 (15:10). This match will repeat the final of the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver. The Slovaks will repeat the bronze medal match from 16 years ago against Finland on February 21 (21:10).
