15-time world champion Norwegian skier Johannes Klæbo became the first athlete since legendary American swimmer Michael Phelps to win six medals at a single Olympics.
At the 2026 Olympic Games in Italy, Klæbo won the individual and team sprints, the 10 km freestyle race, the marathon in classical style, the relay, and the skiathlon.
Phelps won six or more gold medals at the same Olympics twice in his career. The last time this happened was at the 2008 Games, when Michael added eight gold medals to his collection.
