Today, a new season of the Riga Winter Cup in motorsport kicks off at the Bikerneki track, the event organizers told the LETA agency.
About 200 participants have registered for the first stage. Considering the autumn weather conditions, the track configuration will be slightly faster this time — it will include both the oval of the Bikerneki track and the karting track, the organizers emphasize.
This season, the Riga Winter Cup will consist of four stages, all taking place at the Bikerneki track, offering participants different configurations. The first competition will be held today, the second stage is scheduled for December 27. The third stage will take place on January 10, and the season finale and decisive races for the overall standings will be held on January 31.
