The Minister of the Interior gave a "staff" instruction to the head of the Citizenship and Migration Office.
As is known, recently the Minister of the Interior Janis Dombrova visited the migrant accommodation center in Mucenieki and was extremely dissatisfied with what he saw. And just now - after a meeting with the head of the Citizenship and Migration Office - Dombrova announced on social media: "I informed the head of the CMU about numerous identified violations in the operation of the asylum accommodation center and indicated that the responsible official cannot continue to perform the duties of the head of the department for accommodating asylum seekers.
The safety of the citizens of Latvia is a priority, therefore it will not be allowed for individuals who permit immigrants to commit repeated serious violations of the rules to be in the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior."
