In the office of Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, there will be an advisor on the airline airBaltic and the railway project Rail Baltica. The Prime Minister announced this today after a meeting with President Edgars Rinkēvičs.

He noted that the most important issues are reflected in the government's declaration, and based on this, he is looking for advisors. For the government, major projects such as the development of airBaltic and the implementation of Rail Baltica are relevant, and a person is needed who "will be responsible for this," said the Prime Minister.

Kulbergs will also have an advisor who will be responsible for state budget and state debt issues.

The names of these advisors have not yet been disclosed by the Prime Minister.

He noted that the staffing of his office is not yet complete. "Finding competent people willing to seriously engage in work for four to five months is a challenge," said Kulbergs.

Currently, eight employees of Kulbergs' office are known. The head of the office is Mareks Gruškevics, the advisor on public administration is Mārtiņš Brenchis, and the advisor on communication is Elīna Šverna.

The Prime Minister's legal advisor will be Krists Lipšans, and the advisor on information and communication technologies and elections will be Krists Avots.

Also, continuing in the Prime Minister's office are the foreign affairs advisor Ivars Liepnieks, the advisor on European Union matters Salvis Draviņš, and the protocol advisor Skaidrīte Zārane.
