Andris Kulbergs on what the new government will focus on.
Prime ministerial candidate Andris Kulbergs said in an interview with Latvian TV this evening that since the new government has very little time - 5-6 months - he will require each minister to name three issues that they will try to address. But, of course, there will also be mega-problems that will need to be tackled even in such a short time. "It is clear that we cannot avoid the issue of the situation in airBaltic - we will have to deal with it," noted the prime ministerial candidate.
For his part, Minister of Economics Viktors Valainis promised to introduce basic pensions and reduce bureaucracy before the elections so that small and medium-sized businesses can be developed.
