The voting regarding the approval of the director of the Purvciems Secondary School turned out to be unexpected. Typically, all candidates who have passed the official competition and the relevant committee of the Council are automatically approved.
But not this time: Deputy Rudolf Bremanis began to meticulously investigate the relationship of the nominated Denis Klyukin (former director of the Rinuja Secondary School). He discovered that his father is the long-time director of the Purvciems Secondary School, Yuri Klyukin (also a former director).
So here is the interim result: 29 deputies voted 'for', while 26... did not participate in the voting. Among the latter is D. Klyukin (who does not have the right to vote on his own appointment), and, interestingly, the 'Sovereign Power' along with the National Alliance. Apparently, they sensed an opportunity to push their candidate!
Since the first round ended without results, a break was announced – but the second round ended in favor of Denis Yuryevich. In his thank-you speech, he stated that over 11 years he has educated about 1,000 graduates who represent the state under the red-white-red flag!
