The drone that arrived in Latgale from Belarus on Thursday has either left Latvian airspace or crashed in an unknown location, reported the National Armed Forces (NAF).
Technical devices failed to capture either the object's departure from Latvian airspace or its fall or landing. In this situation, one can only assume that one of the mentioned options has been realized, noted the NAF.
Currently, the NAF is not conducting ground searches for the drone. If residents of the region find suspicious objects, the NAF urges them to report it by calling 112.
A similar response was given by the NAF today regarding the object detected by technical devices in Latvian airspace on Tuesday.
As reported, on Thursday, the drone was last detected by technical means in Latvian airspace over the Kraslava region, after which its traces disappeared. NATO's scrambled fighter jets were unable to visually identify the drone.
