The Latvian national football team received a technical defeat with a score of 0:3 for refusing to play against the Belarusian team in the qualifiers for the U19 Euro 2027.
The first round match of Group 3 of League B was scheduled to take place on May 15 in Wales.
This week, the Latvian Football Federation announced that it would not play against Belarus "under the current conditions."
San Marino and Slovakia also compete in this group. The Belarusian national team has taken first place in the group without playing a single match.
Since 2022, UEFA has suspended all Russian teams from participating in its tournaments but continues to allow Belarusian teams.
