The former commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, ex-MP anticipates the collapse of the Russian economy.
"This cannot go on indefinitely," said Juris Dalbiņš, a former commander of the National Armed Forces of Latvia, retired colonel, and ex-MP, in an interview with TV-24, referring to the situation in the Russian economy and citing the opinions of certain economists from that country. He believes that sooner or later, the Russian economy will "plunge to the ground," and then many Russian families, who already want to leave the country, will flee. "They may find themselves at our borders and cross them or end up in Latvia through the internal border of the EU and settle here. Moreover, it cannot be ruled out that many (posing as refugees - ed.) will attempt to infiltrate Latvia on behalf of Russian special services to later influence the situation in our country," the expert warned.
