Minister of Foreign Affairs Baiba Braže received a salary of 108,644 euros from the State Chancellery last year, according to her declaration of a public official.

The declaration states that the Minister of Foreign Affairs owns an apartment in Riga and other real estate in the Engure municipality. Braže also owns a 2021 'Fiat 500X' car. The declaration notes that she also possesses financial instruments worth 117,203 euros.

Braže, who was also the Vice President of the Latvian National Commission for UNESCO last year, has cash savings of 121.59 euros in the Netherlands-registered 'ABN Amro Bank N.V.' and 26,825 euros in AS 'Swedbank'.

Last year, the Minister of Foreign Affairs received a salary of 108,644 euros from the State Chancellery, and 3,545 euros in interest from the State Treasury. Braže also declared income from the sale of property amounting to 10,365 euros and other property worth 10,190 euros.

As other income, the Minister of Foreign Affairs declared 216.50 euros from the Latvian branch of 'Compensa Life Vienna Insurance Group SE' and 242 euros from 'The Economist Newspaper Limited, AJ' (United Kingdom).

Last year, Braže redeemed Latvian government savings bonds worth 105,000 euros, purchased new savings bonds for 65,000 euros, and invested a total of 40,000 euros in two investment funds.

As is known, the name of the current Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia has been linked several times to her vibrant Komsomol past, which her colleagues in the Saeima have repeatedly reproached her for. As is proper for a diplomat, she took the hits and spoke about malicious insinuations...

In any case, we see that the minister is still afloat and we can even be a little pleased with her earnings!
