The head of the parliamentary investigative commission on migration wants to sharply limit the issuance of licenses to foreign couriers.
Chairman of the Saeima parliamentary investigative commission on migration, Jānis Dombrava (National Alliance), after hearing representatives from the companies Bolt and Wolt, concluded that strict measures are necessary to limit the employment of food delivery couriers from third countries. He advised those who use their services to... go for their own meals themselves.
"It’s healthier to go get the meal yourself than to wait for it to be delivered by a foreigner. The members of the parliamentary investigative commission have identified systematic problems related to the employment of immigrants/provision of services on the Bolt/Wolt platform, which must be addressed in the near future," the deputy wrote on social media.
