On Thursday, parliamentarians decided to submit the citizens' initiative on the expulsion of disloyal individuals to the further consideration of the Saeima Defense, Internal Affairs, and Corruption Prevention Commission.
The initiative signed by citizens demands the urgent development of a new law or amendments to existing legislation to ensure the expulsion of individuals disloyal to the Latvian state and the revocation of their Latvian citizenship.
The goal is to create a safe environment, prevent threats, and strengthen national security. The authors of the initiative emphasize that this will increase the confidence of Latvians in themselves and confirm the indivisibility of the state in terms of national values, territory, laws, and language.
