The Riga municipality will participate in one, the first lot, as part of the public-private partnership program "Rental Housing for Latvian Specialists," in which 732 apartments are planned to be built, the Riga City Council decided on Wednesday.
As previously explained by the mayor of the capital, Viesturs Kleinbergs, while the municipality initially planned to participate in the first lot, providing for the construction of 174 apartments, after calculations by the State Real Estate Agency (Valsts nekustamie īpašumi), it was determined that projects planned under the second and third lots could also be included in the first lot. This will allow for faster implementation of these projects, resulting in a total of 732 apartments being built.
Land plots for rental housing will be reserved at 62 Ozolciema Street, between Tinuzu, Andrei Sakharov, and Praulienas Streets, and at 39, 41, and 45 Mezrozishu Street.
