The government is once again on the brink of collapse.

Tomorrow morning, a long-awaited heart-to-heart conversation is set to take place among the ruling politicians - partners will discuss amendments to the draft budget for 2026 and related budget legislation. The most 'explosive' proposal comes from the 'green farmers': they insist on the liquidation of the Society Integration Fund, transferring its functions to three ministries. According to the 'green farmers', this will save about 2 million euros per year. 'New Unity' and the 'Progressives' party are categorically against it. If the partners fail to convince the 'green farmers' to abandon this amendment, there is a risk that the opposition will gladly support it, and then it will be adopted. This could become the last straw for the 'Progressives', and for the ruling party as well. Ultimately, the Siliņa government may collapse.

By the way, rumors suggest that the corridors of power are already actively discussing the format of a new ruling coalition and, consequently, the next government. If such changes do occur, it is likely to happen in January of next year.
