Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal will today receive the final batch of 'Patria' armored personnel carriers produced in Latvia at the Adazi military base, the LETA agency was informed by the Ministry of Defense.
21 'Patria' 6x6 armored personnel carrier will be handed over to Shmyhal, intended for the armed forces of Ukraine. The vehicles are equipped with a 12.7 mm caliber machine gun and NATO-standard ammunition.
The Ukrainian armed forces will also receive necessary spare parts for the maintenance of the armored personnel carriers, special tools and equipment for repairs, as well as a mobile container-type repair workshop, technical documentation, and kits for repairing combat damage to the armored personnel carriers near the front, when immediate evacuation and repair of the vehicle in rear workshops is not possible.
