People who illegally dump garbage in the forest or in other unauthorized places often believe that it will be impossible to find them.
However, in reality, the situation is often quite different, noted Andris Keninš, the director general of the State Environmental Service, on the TV24 program "On the Line."
In response to the question of whether it is really possible to find a person who has dumped garbage in the forest, Keninš answered affirmatively.
According to him, surveillance cameras are installed in certain locations, and the recordings help identify offenders.
However, cameras are not the only way to establish guilt. Keninš pointed out that often investigators are also assisted by the very waste that has been dumped.
