On Saturday, cool and rainy weather is expected in Latvia, especially in the eastern part of the country, where precipitation is forecasted throughout the day, reports LETA, citing the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
In the eastern part of the country, rain will fall almost continuously. In the afternoon, precipitation will spread to the western regions of Latvia. There, the likelihood of thunderstorms and heavy downpours is highest. Cloud cover will be variable, and the wind will remain light.
The maximum air temperature will range from +14 to +19 degrees. In some areas of Latgale and Vidzeme, it will be even cooler — only +11 to +15 degrees.
In Riga, clouds will occasionally disperse during the day, with possible sunny breaks. However, a brief rain is expected in the evening, and the development of thunderstorm clouds capable of bringing heavy downpours is not ruled out.
The air temperature in the capital will rise to +16 to +18 degrees.
After a stormy Thursday and Friday, the weather will remain unstable, and forecasters do not predict any truly summer heat for now.
