On Tuesday, the air temperature in most regions of the country will rise to +20...+25 degrees, forecasters predict. It will be slightly cooler only on the coast, where the influence of the sea will prevent the air from warming up as much.
Significant precipitation is not expected, but the day will not be completely dry. With little and variable cloudiness, brief rains will occur in some areas of Kurzeme, Zemgale, and Vidzeme. Isolated thunderstorms are also possible in certain districts.
The wind will remain light, so the weather will feel comfortably summery.
In Riga, the day is also expected to be warm. Sunny periods will alternate with clouds, and in the afternoon and evening, brief rain is possible. The air temperature in the capital will rise to about +24 degrees.
Despite isolated rains, the weather in the country will be determined by an area of increased atmospheric pressure. Therefore, precipitation will be local and short-lived.
Forecasters also warn of a high level of ultraviolet radiation. The impact of sunlight will be particularly strong from noon to three in the afternoon. During this time, it is recommended to use sunscreen, wear hats, and, if possible, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
The atmospheric pressure will be 1013–1016 hectopascals, which corresponds to normal values for the beginning of summer.
