On Sunday, our regular author Valery Samokhvalov (in the photo) returned from the forest with the first harvest of morels.
-- I started to comb through the forest. And what do you know? There are mushrooms! True, they are not giants and there aren't many of them, but in two hours I gathered enough for a decent fry-up,” says Valery, sharing his cooking experience.
At home, I entrusted the cleaning and cooking to my wife — she is a jack of all trades. First, the mushrooms need to be sorted, removing debris and roots with remnants of sand, then rinsed several times to ensure that slugs and other forest insects do not get into the dish. After that, boil them twice, draining the water.
After this, you can confidently place the mushrooms in a frying pan with finely chopped onions. You can also use green onion tops — the taste will not change drastically. You can fry them in butter or sour cream — it all depends on the availability of one product or another.
In about twenty minutes, the dish with an amazingly delicate aroma and the same flavor is ready. And it will be a wonderful addition to the products that can be bought or prepared in a situation where the pension hasn’t arrived for almost a year and a half. We will manage! We won't go to waste!
