Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina Explained to Everyone How to Complete the Rail Baltica Project by 2030

As reported, the European Court of Auditors stated in January that the "Rail Baltica" project will not be completed by 2030 as previously planned, and a final deadline for its implementation has not been set.

Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal announced today that the heads of government of the Baltic states have agreed that the highway must be completed by the mentioned deadline.

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina, for her part, emphasized that the Baltic countries must coordinate efforts to secure additional funding for the project from the EU under the new multiannual budget.

"We need to cut costs (...), work together to ensure EU funding," Silina stated.

The Rail Baltica project will connect Tallinn, Pärnu, Riga, Panevėžys, Kaunas, Vilnius, and Warsaw with European standard railway tracks.
