Variable weather conditions are expected in Latvia on Good Friday — both sunshine and rain in some areas, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC), as reported by LETA.
In the morning, the sky will be cloudy, but after sunrise, it will gradually clear up, and the sun will shine in many places. In some coastal areas, fog and haze will persist in the first half of the day.
In the second half of the day, the amount of clouds will gradually increase, and rain is expected in some areas of the western and central regions.
The wind will be from the south and southwest, light to moderate, and the air temperature will warm up to +9...+13 degrees, while it will be cooler on the coast — there it will be +3...+8 degrees.
In Riga, the cloud cover will be variable, and the day will pass without significant precipitation. The wind will remain light, and the maximum air temperature will be +10...+12 degrees.
