A new visitor center and educational center with a 25-meter observation tower have opened in Tervete Nature Park, owned by Latvijas valsts meži (LVM), the LETA agency was informed by the company.

With the opening of the visitor center, entrance tickets to the park can now be purchased there, LVM noted.

The company indicated that glued wood structures were used in the construction of the tower, and the upper observation deck is equipped with binoculars. The cost of visiting the tower is three euros.

The visitor center has a paid parking lot that can accommodate up to 900 vehicles, the company added, noting that if necessary, the area can be converted into an event space for up to 5,000 people.

The company also reported that from April 1, the prices for entrance tickets to the nature park have changed — both the full and discounted ticket prices for one person have increased by 50 cents.

Kristaps Didžis, the director of the LVM nature park in Tervete, stated that at the end of April, a new exhibition of exotic butterflies and the park "Tarzan," restored after the storms, will complement the diverse recreational opportunities.

As previously reported, in 2025, LVM, according to preliminary data, operated with a turnover of 604.564 million euros, which is 3.1% more than the previous year, and the company's profit increased by 36.1% to 204.319 million euros.

The company was registered in 1999, with a share capital of 525.989 million euros. LVM manages state-owned forest lands. The sole owner of the company is the state, and the shareholder is the Ministry of Agriculture.
