In the afternoon on Thursday, precipitation will start crossing Latvia from the north, and by evening, rain will fall in many places across the country, meteorologists forecast, writes LETA.
In some places, wet snow and fog are also expected. The sunniest weather during the day will remain in the southeastern part of the country.
With a light to moderate southwest wind, the maximum air temperature will range from +3 to +7 degrees in Kurzeme and the northwest of Vidzeme to +8 to +12 degrees in the rest of Latvia.
In Riga, clouds will cover the sky in the afternoon, and rain will begin by evening. A light southern to southwestern wind will blow, and the air temperature will rise to +9 degrees.
The influence of the anticyclone is weakening, and an atmospheric front is approaching from the northwest. Atmospheric pressure has decreased to 1024–1028 hPa at sea level.
