Productively and businesslike, the methodological and practical conference of practicing psychologists in Latvia took place at the Baltic International Academy on the topic "Searching for Optimal Solutions for Psychologists in Various Fields to Overcome Professional Difficulties."
It was organized by the Latvijas Psihologu asociāciju federācija (LPAF) and the Latvijas Profesionālo psihologu asociācija (LPPA), which unites Latvian psychologists based on professional and academic criteria. Today, it has around 1,600 certified psychologists among its members.
Opening the conference, the chairperson of the Latvijas Psihologu asociāciju federācija (LPAF) and the Latvijas Profesionālo psihologu asociācija (LPPA), Evelīna Mūze, noted that in recent years, the role of psychology has significantly increased in all areas of our lives, from medicine to education, from business to everyday communication. This requires psychologists to continuously update their knowledge and improve their professional skills.
In her opinion, this conference is a worthy place for discussing relevant issues in modern psychology and for creative discussions on this topic.
The businesslike tone of the discussions was set by a comprehensive report from the chair of the Psychologists' Certification Council, Rita Niedre. The discussions then continued in creative workshops, where 15 authoritative specialists in the field of psychology presented reports and messages.
