Until the end of this week, Latvia will be mostly sunny and windy, with rain possible only on Sunday in Kurzeme, meteorologists forecast.
Both Saturday and Sunday are expected to have some cloudiness. On the last day of the week, cloud cover will increase in Kurzeme, with possible rain, especially in the evening.
During the day, gusts of southern wind are expected to reach 11–16 meters per second.
The minimum air temperature will be +1...+6 degrees, with some areas in the east seeing thermometers drop to a degree below zero. During the day, the air will warm up to +10...+15 degrees, and in some places on Saturday, it may reach +16...+17 degrees.
At the beginning of next week, rain is expected in many regions, with heavy rain and wet snow possible in some areas, while Latgale is forecasted to have predominantly dry weather.
Throughout the week, atmospheric pressure will rise, leading to little precipitation and weak winds. The air will be on average a couple of degrees cooler than this week, with nighttime temperatures dropping below zero in some areas.
