With the arrival of warmer air on Friday, the temperature will rise, and snow will gradually turn into wet snow and rain, with thawing expected in some areas, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The day will start with cloudy weather, with precipitation expected in some areas. The snow cover in certain places, mainly in the east, may increase by a few centimeters.
There will be a weak to moderate southern and southeastern wind, which will be gusty along the coast.
The maximum air temperature will range from -2 to +4 degrees.
In Riga, clouds will bring precipitation, and the air temperature will rise to +1...+2 degrees, making the weather humid. The wind will be weak to moderate from the southeast and south.
